About

I am a professor of History at California State University Los Angeles. I obtained myBA in history at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago, Chile (1994) and my PhD at the University of California San Diego (2002). Before coming to CalStateLA, I taught at the University of Texas Panamerican in the Rio Grande Valley.  I am a social and labor history of twentieth-century Chile’s,  and I have researched, presented, and published on a wide range of topics such as labor and social movements, occupational health, labor relations, and transnational history.  At CalStateLA, I teach courses in Latin American, labor, urban, and world history.
